dont do it. not with a rattle can at least. buy a cheap paint gun and it will be 100 times better than a spray can. you said you might run off the road and you want to be able to simply respray areas, well it wont match. its gunna fade fast and it will look alot worse than before.

Im pretty sure im just going to have bite the bullet and pay to have my one rear corner resprayed but i like the idea so im playing around with the idea. Idrive has a very good point if im flat black and i try to repray just the front bumper or something then its gunna be off color becuase of how fast the fade is. Im just gunna spray my buick doors n hood tomarrow and let them sit in the auguest sun and see what happens.

I think it was said before, but if you use a satin black it will not fade as much. Second, if you are gonna do it then plan on using a good bit of paint because once the can is 3/4 empty I would toss it and get a new one, because at that point the pressure seems to decrease a good bit even if you heat it. I used to do paint/body professionaly and have done this before for buddies of mine. It can look nice if you take your time and do it right.

But, nothing beats a spray gun and compressor. Can still be done cheap and will yield much better results.
