HELP Grinding noise

HELP Grinding noise

My 05 evo just started making a grinding noise from the front passenger area it sounds like to me it coming from the brakes or rotor but I have no idea I can only hear it when I let of the gas Please help! Also stops for a few seconds when I slam on the brakes???

have you check if you have any brakes left? Thats the sound my car make when i need new brakes.

probably hitting the wear indicator on the brake pads. dont wanna brake to hard or go to much longer. hotspots develop easier because pad cant disipate heat as fast.

Like they said check your brakes but I know when it is the brakes it does that noise when you do hit em. Unless your down to full metal to metal might wanna have a look ASAP.

Like they said probably low on pad life, i'd take the wheel off and take a peak in there to see what your currently riding around with then go from there.

Check your pads and rotors. If your pads and rotors look ok, check and make sure that the caliper is retracting all way when you release the break pedal.

Also check that your backing plate isn't bent in a little and glancing the rotor as it turns if the brake pads are ok
