Fuel Pump Assembly Wiring Diagram
I can't find the pin out in the service manual for stock fuel pump assembly. Can someone layout the wire color and use for each one. And also when does the fuel pump change from 5v to 12v? Is the positive fuel pump supply wire used for 5v and 12v? Or are they separate wires?

Even though I don't own an evo ,I have an evo 9 fuel pump lol.. and if I recal correctly, it has 3 wires going to it. I would assume 1 is low voltage for startup and cruising and the other is high voltage for WOT conditions. Third wire is ground obviously.

As far as I understand from the wiring diagram... There are 2 wires to the pump . The connector has more but they are used for other things.
Pin 4 and Pin 5 on the connector are used for the power to the pump ... Pin 5 is white and its the power wire and pin 5 is black and its ground.
The power wire is always the same they only thing that changes through relays is if the current flows through the resistor or not which is controlled by the ECU pins going high or low.
So if you are at idle(or low load) the current flows though the resistor limiting the voltage to the pump, otherwise it will go straight through.
A basic explanation can be found here:

They explain it much better than me
