Replacing Tranny Bellhousing

Well, my tranny is going, and I wanted to buy another tranny from a member on the forum. How can i swap my old bell housing from my tranny to the new one? It physically looks like two separate pieces.

if your buying another trans why not just use the bellhousing on the new one?

I will let you know that you can swap it, but you have to be comfortable taking a transmission apart to do it. I'd recommend sending the parts off to TRE and having them upgrade the transmission and swap it for you, might as well if you are going through the trouble... Or better yet, just have him fix the one transmission that's going out, might be less trouble and you'll have a sweet upgrade.

Not exactly and you have to ensure everything is lined up properly when going back together. It's not extremely difficult, but at the same time you want an understand of how the internals go together.
