"You Dave...are not one of those people." Your quote I found in my in box that got deleted.......

No I am not one of them. I build horsepower, without a piece of paper saying I graduated from somewhere.

Here are your dyno sheets though. Just two I grabbed quick. Trying to recall the thousands of builds and customer names over the years is tough. I have at least two other cars that made the same or more power than Project White but can't recall their names right now.

BTW, we don't use Meth injection, since SMC closed we don't even offer a kit or install any. So these two cars are both straight 93, Project White was on Shell. The car of Mike's was from I-don't-know-where. He drove over 3 hours on a tank of fuel from his house and I tuned him on that.

Also, Project White for reference was done in 3rd gear, it would make atleast 20 more whp (being conservative) in 4th gear, so even on this dyno could have put down over 500 whp on the Red, on 93. Also keep in mind Project White was tuned on an early ROM, STOCK knock parameters, STOCK ECU, STOCK MAF with screens in it. Mike's car in on an AEM EMS, which I also tuned conservatively, 11.5:1 afr's and only about 4 degrees of timing at peak torque, that engine/head/valve springs are STOCK along with just a set of HKS 272 cams, I did that car just yesterday.

Step back non-believers or the rain will never come....

Your project white was over 500whp on a DJ. The other example doesn't make over 500 according to your calcs. You're about 10whp off. 490 is not 500.

Do you have your mod list on project white?

Furthermore would that fall under the category of "a cold day with a ton of mods"?

FP Black, 35r, or 6262 on 93 would be a better bet.
Were you running the weather station when you did the project white dyno? Also what were the ambient conditions?

My point is... you won't make 500whp on 93 octane unless you have a TON of mods and the dyno plot is generated in your favor... project white I believe falls under the category of a TON of mods. which is EXACTLY what I stated.

You've shown us one example that made over 500whp on 93 octane...and ironically it was your own car.

Make it rain Dave.

Did you look up the price on an AVL test cell with a Horiba AC dyno yet dave? Blow your mind? Ever heard of a Kistler in cylinder pressure transducer? I bet it costs more than your bad bish. lol.

The run on Project White was in May, I do not own a weather station, I don't believe in them. I want to know what the car is making the day I am running it, regardless of weather, not what it makes on some other day. In my haste to post the sheets I grabbed the wrong sheet from Mike's car, here is the correct sheet:

http://highboostforum.com/forum/show...567#post176567.

You can do the math on that one and come up with 499.46 whp if you like and comment again about not being 500 if you like.

Also note that I said Project White was on a stock ECU/stock MAF, no exactly the best way to pull maximum power out of a car, nor was a trying to go after a record. That car was destined for E85 so the pump gas tune was just to have one in case I didn't have E85 available.

Maybe some of our other customers can chime in with their names, if they are wasting their time with this and I can post their sheets. Like I said, Project White is not the highest pump gas Red we've had on here.

There are two examples though, which proves my point.

I missed your comment, no I didn't look it up, I have no interest in it. Why do you think the cost of equipment that you don't own should impress me? If I worked for NASA would that make me an astronaut or a rocket scientist? It doesn't. You working somewhere with expensive car equipment doesn't make you are car builder either, just for reference.

Still didn't make 500whp dave.

Project White, BR2.3/BR Stg 3 head, FP Red, E85 fuel, 1200cc injectors, BR double pumper, Jun 272 cams, BR 3" turbo back, stock ECU, 32 psi peak boost, BR Race FMIC, BR stock ported intake/BR 65 mm tb.

One might consider Project white to have a "ton of mods" being a built 2.3L with a stg 3 head. lol.

No but it sure beats having a high school education, assembling cars in a sheetmetal barn, while relabeling parts that you didn't manufacture.

is that flaming? idk... its more like the truth. If you speak the truth...is that flaming? Or is that just the truth?

Furthermore...how do you explain this? Bad tuning day? 369whp is a LONG way from 443whp

Let's be clear on a few things. #1, you requested dyno sheets, I posted them. Then you started grasping for 9 whp, from one sheet and further grasping for weather conditions, correction factors from the conditions and that it was my car. I simply posted the sheets you asked for. I'm assuming you thought I couldn't produce them and are hurt that I did.

My high school has served me well, along with a year of college and multiple classes at trade schools at night, so has the my military experience and mostly my hard work. I'm not sure what a sheet metal barn is exactly, this building I paid for and had custom built, never was a barn. You are grasping again.

I guess I am sorry your feelings are hurt and you had to go completely off topic about my eduction/building/products because I provided the dyno sheets you asked for.

Did you read the post? Obviously not. Here, I'll quote the part you missed:

"David said something is holding me back"

There are HUNDREDS of cars that come through here each year for tunes and builds. Each one is different. That car was jacked and didn't make nearly the power it should have, it says that quite clearly in the first paragraph of his post.

You are grasping again.

If you notice I rarely provide much tech on evom anymore and rarely post dyno sheets at all. Making 500+ whp gets old, at one point it was big news doing it and we posted sheets weekly, you can only post them so many times and then you lose interest.

Why is it that when one can't come up with more evidence they just keeping digging as deep as they can go?

Get your head out of your @SS bud as you're making yourself look stupid.

Dave,
should we go back the original point.

I said, "7460...no way.
FP Red... on a DJ on a cold day...with a ton of mods.
FP Black, 35r, or 6262 on 93 would be a better bet."

Was I not correct?

you should've read what Dave wrote about Philthy in the last thread if you think my "moment of truth" was an attempt to prove my point. lol.

Fact is... you won't hit 500whp on 93 octane without a ton of mods on a built engine... that is what I said...and it IS correct. Dave has proven it with his mod list.

Here are two more graphs.

Yes, both of these cars have considerable mods on them too. You aren't going to make 500 whp in an EVO with a stock car............it takes considerable mods to make 500 whp regardless of turbo.

The guy who started this thread wanted to know his best choice for making 450 LOW END TORQUE and 500 HP. You are forgetting the 450 low end torque part of his request. All of the other turbo's that have been discussed will not come close to 450 ft lbs with only 500 whp and especially not at a RPM considered low. So the Red is the only actual turbo that can do what he is asking and that is why I recommended it.

YOU, RT, did not read what he requested, maybe if you had you would have recommended something that would work. Instead you want to argue with me and throw out what you feel are insults. When in fact I take what you've thrown out there as compliments. I'm working for myself, employing 9 guys, I'm personally debt free and I build some of the fastest EVO's on the planet, not bad for my education level. So thank you.

This dyno chart is more reflective of what the OP was asking for IMO... with a little more timing at peak torque you would be at your 450lb ft. Done with an FP Black.

520whp 430lb ft. on 92 octane.
