exhaust leak?

Ok so I'm almost certain I have an exhaust leak but just needed a bit of confirmation. So the symptoms are runnin pretty rich, sounds like its misfiring, when I start getting boost it will get up to full boost (rather quickly, more so than normal) drop down about six or seven psi and start climbing again. I think I see slight seperation between part of the exhaust manifold and the block. Possibly a shot gasket.

you could always loosen and then re-torque the nuts on the manifold and see if that solves your problem. Is there any black on the head around the manifold? that might show where a leak is occuring

Yeah that was gonna be my first attack, I'm thinkin when I took it off last week I might not have completely tightened that side, and it might have wiggled a bit loose

No not really any black, a very very small amount of liquid bubbling, I was thinking possibly un burned fuel?

dont mean to jack this thread and sorry for the noob question but....does running too lean and misfiring and causing to loose boost mean a boost leak??? reason why is that im having similar problems

if u had the manifold off recently then my first step would be to replace the exhaust gasket...if that doesn't solve it and u dont see any huge signs of an exhaust leak I would start looking somewhere else...check your plugs and your gaps...check for any boost leaks or stored misfire codes....when exactly does it misfire? idle? WOT? spool up or full boost?

(At djikonatx) Well running too lean is definetally not a good thing, id be careful driving it lean especially if ur misfiring. U run the risk of detonating in the cylinder....(not a good thing lol) as far as loosing boost along with it, well that could be a variety of things. For starters when was the last time u changed ur spark plugs? If that's not the problem try tracing all ur vacuum lines and see if there are any holes or tears and that they are all connected, if ur having similar problems as me odds are ur running a bit rich. It may also be a possibility one of ur gaskets is shot

No it sounds like its missing all the time, in idle at speed etc. The only code its throwing is turbo charger over boost condition. I'm almost certain its the manifold. The plugs are brand new
