I am looking for a stainless or aluminum one too. a cast aluminum piece with indents for rivets would look pretty cool.

I have a Buschur shield but it has been 8 years from the time I got it. I am still happy with it but it is a little work to keep polished because of the vented hood allowing water to enter the engine bay.

LOL.
He's looking for the Exhaust shield to keep the bumper from burning up. Not the Ex-Manifold Shield!
And yes I got one way back from ... I can't remember. It's still on my car and helps to keep my yellow bumper from turning different color or melt off when I shoot a 3-foot-long-Meth-Laced-Flame.

You are right. CF part at that location is just for looks. It will not hold up to direct exhaust heat, especially if you have a JDM-type exhaust that points a little bit to the side.

Wanna test something? Take a torch to the CF "skin" and report back.

Dude the cf ones are legit. I've got the rexpeed one on my evo 9 and can't say one bad thing about it. It looks good and protects the bumper. I plan on getting the same rexpeed shield when I get a JDM bumper. and rexpeed isn't that expensive either

I have no doubt. I just prefer the look of metal. I'm old school and like a riveted metal plate. :-)

Not constant, but once is all it takes - just like Virginity.

lol. my car isn't that radical, unfortunately. I wish. but I'd like something to protect from an accidental touch from the exhaust. just in case. the thought of ruining a $1000 bumper cover does not appeal to me.
I'd rather at LEAST cook a CF sticker.
