lmao I had this happen when i was riding with my friend in his sick *** 350z with 19 x 10.5 wheels

 

Noone has ever said anything to me aside from my friends. Then again i only drove the car a few times a month before i put it away for winter.

 

I never get anything from anyone haha, only my wheels get attention :/

I over heard two dudes talking about my car in the gas station today.

It made me smile

 

i've never noticed people taking pics, but once in a while i've got people either complementing me, asking about it, or asking how many tickets i've gotten with it.

My favorite was when I first got it and was just driving it around to break it in and I stopped at a light next to an older guy in an srt-8 charger. We chatted a few minutes and mentioned going, but i told him it wasn't broken in. He said 'that's ok, you'd take me off the line anyways'. I just thought it was cool an older guy who was into american muscle also knew about the evo's awd and launch abilities.

 

I attract a lot of ricers. Maybe because I drive 55mph in a 55mph zone haha. they always race across 3 lanes. (meanwhile i am in the far right lane)

 

I get compliments sometimes, most people compliment it though by saying wow your boyfriend lets you drive his car, thats a really nice car.
when I tell them that its my car they just look at me like yeah right.

I was at a jack in the box one night the convo went like this:
guy at window: is that your car
me: yes
guy at window: for real
me: for real
guy at window: for real for real
me: yes for real for real can i have my food now.
he just sorta looked in disbelief.

 

Almost every time I take out the car. We have maybe a dozen Evos in a metro area of ~1M. The attention ranges ranges from groups of teens admiring the Evo as I come out of the supermarket, to cars honking and flashing their lights as they approach with folks sticking their heads out of the windows and screaming, "NICE EVOOOOO!!" It happens so much that it times it's annoying, though not all the attention is necessarily positive. Interestingly enough, I get quite a few women admiring the car, none even close to my own age.

 

Last week while I was at work I saw a car park very close to mine (which was the farthest it could possibly be from the entrance) despite the parking lot being empty. While I was wodnering why he parked so far, I see the driver get out, snap some pics of the Evo, get back in his car and leave It's happened a few other times that I've been told about but didn't see.

Also had someone miss his left-turn light because he was too busy staring at the evo.

 

 

ton of people have commented on my car, biggest reason since its in canada, and they never produced 8's or 9's down here.

the usual one is "Is that a REAL evo?" lol, always cracks me up

-one time i noticed 2 younger guys looking at my car, he rolls down his window and asks again the usual "That a real evo?" and i said "yes". Then he asks how much hp i got, and i reply "400whp" and he just throws himself back at the seat and says "OMG, WOW" lol i wanted to crack up, fun stuff

Seen a handful already taking pictures of my car via cell phone. Then as soon as they see that i noticed, they just kinda put the phone down quick and pretend nothing happened, haha, fun times

down here i'll probably see a ferrari or some exotic car before i see an evo8/9
