So I went from 05 ford focus SE to 06 Evo IX MR. well it went from why you driving a granny/family car to nice ride/is that an EVO?

Funniest one was when I went to the drive through at DQ and the guy at the window says "Is that an Evo 9" then he announces to everyone working there on the mic that it is an Evo in the drivethrough.

Anyone else have random people compliment your car daily and how often?

I live in a small military town so cars like this aren't as common so that is probably why people say something about it. Im not in southern california where u see a italian import on the highway every day that makes this car look like a junker

 

I live in upstate NY (saratoga) and alot of times ill come out of the store and have people taking pictures or drooling by mine. I always talk to them if they have question ill answer......i tried to talk to another evo owner in the area and he just walked away from me. So i try to answer most and all questions about it.

On the road people are always looking and cell phones come out, it feels like im driving the worlds rarest car....kinda fun somedays and gets annoying others

 

I'm in socal and I still get people drooling over my car. Everytime I pull into a gas station I get people coming up to me asking me questions and saying "nice car bro". I get it at the parking lot at work too, sometimes I can't leave at night because people want to spark up a convo about my IX lol I don't mind though because I do the same thing when I see this GT2 RS in the back parking lot.

I had two old guys in a buick pointing at my vortex generators (I saw them in my rearview while at a light), then they rode past and gave me the thumbs up. On the same road a guy in a Toyota Secquoia looked over, adjusted his shades, and gave me the thumbs up.

A cop asked me at the light before the turn onto my street "It's loud, but is it fast?"

Also had a state trooper tell me that his partner thought his mustang would smoke my evo. The state trooper said he told his partner "Hell nah dude, he'd run away from your new GT."

 

Yeah I have had a few people take pictures on the occasion. I have even had a guy come up and try to by my seats lol... as far as i know there are only 4 evo's in this town. 2 of them are 7's, 1 is a 9. and one is an X

I had a group of college girls flash me (.)(.) on a highway and yell nice car.

.....then my gf woke up on the passenger side and said "who the f was that?" ....thank god she didn't see the boobies.

 

Alot of the my friends say i have the best car at my job and school. Iv seen a few people stare at my CF hood and the vent thinking why the hell is it there? No one yet has came up to me and said anything.
