How many people compliment your car daily?
ya its pretty nice. While i drive and just look around, as soon as i see some type of import i look at the driver and they're never looking on the road, just staring at my car, im just thinkin "sick eh?" haha
I had two old guys in a buick pointing at my vortex generators (I saw them in my rearview while at a light), then they rode past and gave me the thumbs up. On the same road a guy in a Toyota Secquoia looked over, adjusted his shades, and gave me the thumbs up.
A cop asked me at the light before the turn onto my street "It's loud, but is it fast?"
Also had a state trooper tell me that his partner thought his mustang would smoke my evo. The state trooper said he told his partner "Hell nah dude, he'd run away from your new GT."

haha the attention never ceases!! i've come to notice it's usually one of three looks you usually get when sittin at a light..... the usual "omg i cant believe im in the same presence as an evo..." the " WTF is that crazy looking lancer with the funny looking radiator???" or ... the "whats an evo??" I'm a personal fan of watching people run red lights... cause they are not paying attention to the road... their eyes are elsewhere haha
I was driving with my slicks on, just going to work, and I decided to take this corner going pretty quick. I could feel the car just struggling for grip because I guess it was a little too fast. Some guy on the other side of the road saw me and leaned his entire body out the window, giving me this shocked look and a thumbs up. All I could do was laugh.
And of course, you get your usual mean mugger looks from other import owners that can't afford an Evo. Don't know why this happens but I'm starting to stare straight back at them with some kind of face. I would either point and laugh or stick my tongue out. It's like they really haven't seen an Evo before when this city is starting to become filled with them.

I've had my evo for about four months now and I just got my first complement today from a cop while I was walking out of toppers. (pizza place)
"Nice car" I said thank you and went about my way.
There are three other evo owners in town but only talked to one of them. I passed one into town Monday while he was going slow 53 in a 55, then he wanted to ride my *** and pass me in a no passing zone outside a daycare. (well done)

Only like 3 times. Once at a carwash in FL. Once at a pretty much all import car meet and the other was by the gate guard on my way back on post.
Mine's completely debadged and wingless so most people probably don't even know what it is.
There has been a couple times when stopped at lights and some riced out POS would end up next to me and the guys in the car would refuse to look over.

I get alot of compliments from older guys. I had an older guy last night step out of a Porsche Carrera at Buffalo Wild Wings and tell me my car was nice.....
I mostly get the annoying gawking stare from younger kids...like its something they've never seen before. Although it doesnt help that there are only like 3 Evo's around Scoot AFB.
But I am the only wingless 8....HA

I get the occasional thumbs up and the occasional "That son of a b$%^& is fast isn't it?" comment. I got more looks with the X I think...but more people know what the IX is and speak up.
