fp red or cams and the stock turbo
So what do you guys think would yield greater gains, fp red on stock cams or hks 272s with the stock turbo? Also which way would be more street friendly? Thanks guys.
Cams usually net around 40-ish whp if I'm not mistaken, so I'm pretty sure the Red would be good for more than that.
If by street friendly you mean low-end torque, then I think the cams would take this one; the Red is a decently big turbo, so it'll take a little while before it starts spooling compared to a stocker.

Cams would be more street friendly but of course, a bigger turbo will always give bigger HP gains but that's all in the higher RPM. I like how much faster my stock turbo spools up with just cams. At 2500RPM, I'm already at full 25psi on just stock turbo.
Personally, I can't go bigger turbo with stock cams. It just won't work out in the end.

If you want the best bang for your buck right now I would go ahead with the fp red and then do the cams in the future. As those before me have stated, I would look at the S2's or something similar...you will have significant gains in the mid range and top end power over the HKS 272 with little or no loss in streetability/driveability.
