past month and a half have noticed blue smoke out of the exhaust, every once and a while. now what gets me and where im lost at is that its every once in a while only after i let off throttle. any suggestions on what it might be. im thinking something f**ked up with the turbo so i pulled the licp down and it was dry, whats next?
I would say to check to see if the turbo seal is going on its way out, compression test to see if the rings are taking a dump too

Just check and its has a ****load of shaft play
. I don't know what could have happened car has 65k on it turbo probably 45k or so and I drive like a grandma (an angry grandma) car's max boost was 27.5. And I almost never really go there

if it has ANY in and out play its bad.
also if turbo checks out then replace/ clean PCV .......smoke on throttle lift has to do with pcv or turbos blown.
Also you could have one or more split valve seals. Bad valve seals will also usually smoke on startup. Valve seals on the current Evo engines seem to be pretty good. On older 4G63's they could be counted on to fail at around 90K.

If you can push the wheel down to the point it scrapes the compressor housing its bad.
if theres in and out shaft play its bad..
why do you need to make a video to show a vendor for confirmation?
Video was already made posting a link takes every bit of 30 sec. Just something to do for educational purpose. Keep people from reposting the more info u give (thinking about the people)
If it has as much shaft play as you make it sound like, it is likely the turbo. If the blue smoke is really only happening at WOT and under boost, it could be blow by, do you have a catch can installed?
Leak down and compression test should be done just in case, and the results are good to have to know that your motor is still within spec.
