Fuel cut?

So I was out with a few friends/cars last night messing around on some back winding roads. Just enjoying the roads before the winter storm comes tonight. But I was going WOT and at around 6K+ rpm the car just like shook hard. It felt like the clutch slipped really hard or kind of seamed like an aggressive rev limiter. But one of my friends that was with me says that with the cold weather, I was over boosting and said I was getting fuel cut?

Should that happen?? I only have a TBE

If you have a wideband it will tell you if you hit a fuel cut.

Another possibility is the clutch. I have experienced something similar to the noise you described last summer. I was tuning the car doing a pull down a stretch and during 3rd gear. A loud noise (Almost sounded like running over a cattle guard) coming from the engine bay area. It was the clutch.

It then started slipping following that noise. I was currently running the Fidanza 3.2 4 puck in the Evo 8. Damn, I think I've tried ever single plat clutch out there.

It's one of the most important gauges you'll use.

The only reason I think it's fuel cut other then that my buddy said so, is because when its happening. Like it happened twice... once in first gear and once in 3rd or 4th. aAd both times it was at higher rpm, so if it was a slipping clutch wouldn't it normally happen at around 3200rpm when I get my boost spike aka all the TQ?

There are a couple possibilities when it could happen. Grab a wideband and rule fuel cut out first. I don't think you should hit fuel cut if you're on stock boost with a turboback.

If your not tuned and running more boost than stock, you will hit the fuel cut.
