Voltex Diffuser turning white?!?!?!?

Hey guys,
So my diffuser is finally on but for some reason it is turning white on the inside. There is no salt down and I haven't driven it through any snow. My question is, why and would it go back to normal? Thanks for you help guys.

-Martin

Get the pics up. Probably get it waxed/sealant to protect it from fading

is it scuffed? if you scuff the clear coat, it'll appear white. hard to tell without pics, but if the area turning white isn't secure and it's rubbing against something else, that could cause the scuffing and "white" appearance. post pics as soon as you can.

it could also just be the clear coat getting sun/weather damage. it starts to develop a ****ty film as the clear coat wears out. the same thing happened on one of my ralliart lips, and just about every carbon fiber piece i've ever had. it also happened to the paint on my honda accord.

the solution would be to reclear, or polish/seal the clear coat to get it to shine again. better white than green though lol

I installed it last Saturday, and it has snowed but it was literally flurries for like 5 minutes and the city didn't even bother putting salt in the street. This is REALLY pissing me off man! I pay $700 for a ****ing piece that turns white for NOOOOOO reason?!?!?!? It happened after it rained. It started raining Saturday night and continued into Sunday. When I got to work I noticed it was turning white.

I would call the company you got it from or something.. That's abnormal IMO.. Seems defective.

There should actually be a clear coat/lacquer which would protect the carbon from any defect. I presume yours is original voltex?

Yes it is, but on the inside there was no clear coating at all. Everyone I see with it doesn't have it either.

The coat is on the outside to protect the cf.
