The stock core is virtually the same size.

Mishimioto Core size: 19.33" x 11.42" x 2.7" Delta wedge
Stock Core Size: 19.31" x 11.5" x 2.69" Tube and fin
I'm also interested to see if there are any gains at all before I consider buying one.

I am 100% positive that it did not. I'll try to remember to take a pic of the bottom of mine tomorrow. When I took mine off to get the factory black overspray off it, there was "Toyo" stamped on it several times.

I'm really interested in this. If someone could post a real review it would be fantastic.

This is the Dyno chart taken from the Mishimoto website.

Stock Evo vs Evo with Mishimoto intercooler

If these numbers are real, then I'm extremely impressed.

Wonder what kind of gains it would have on a bigger turbo built motor?

Interesting how the intercooler caused a gain in power even before the turbo was spooled

I remember on the site it said it's best suited for small turbo setups for quicker spool.

And maybe the flow is better so it spools faster. Idk

I got mine, it's not installed yet due to the weather and space, but it arrived in a nice Mishimoto box, and is da*n good quality. i really like the fins on it (i ordered an off brand one before and it came and all the fins were smashed)

But anyways, the dyno sheet looks fine and accurate to me, because with the stock intercooler the dyno tester went full throttle at 3050 rpm, whereas, with the Mishimoto it went full throttle at 2800 rpm. This is just a small human error that is very common with dyno testing, and really doesn't discredit the test itself. The results look pretty clear, and its not tampered with so I'd assume these are the results we can expect... which makes me SUPER excited to get this baby on!!

does anyone know a mitsubishi specialist around Philly that would be good to put this on for me? I was going to do it myself, but due to the g/f's car breaking down there's no room in the garage for me to do it...

I installed mine yesterday, fitment was spot on. The air passeges are significantly larger than the stock tube and fin. Took a 50 mile trip and the butt dyno says there might be a little more power, definitley seems to spool a little faster. No hard evidence though.

Seems like a good buy for $175.
