cold start up?

cold start up?

so i got hks cams and when i start the car when its completely cold.. i have to hold the gas to let it idle until it warms up.. if i dont it stalls... any ideas what this could be... would a simple tune fix this?

thats pretty much it. i have HKS cams and dont have an issue.

to the OP: no check engine lights or anything? if not, just get the tune.

nope no check engine lights at all. car runs perfect when its warm

I had a problem with mine before and I adjusted the biss screw slightly and it fixed my problem. I run kelford 272s in mine

You need a tune to raise the timing numbers in that cell area...I would recommend that before touching the biss screw...actually I would advise against it...

yeah it should fix your issue without a doubt. but let us know how it went. cause you might have to adjust the biss screw, but the shop should help with that.

i dont think raising timing will help his car as increasing timing on a cammed car simply reduces the lopyness. sounds like OP has bigger issues then that, maybe he played with the idle screw only (and too much) and now BISS setting is conflicting and fighting his change. lopy cams will compound the issue but doesnt sound like its the primary issue.

I get those issues sometimes too but then again I have 1,200 cc injectors on s.d those injectors flood the car on starting so if you don't touch the gas while cranking it stalls.
