best fitment for 3" downpipe for 05 evo 8 (with acd)

ok so the o2 housing i have doesnt fit my buscure dp and it leaks.. so i need to find a comparable 3" dp with a donut ring for the gasket since buschure decided not to have one since they are "special".

I forgot which ones fit nicely without putting washers in the 2 support bars underneath to fit the dp. Buschur fits perfectly unfortunately.

The megan is the best fitting downpipe for any ACD car. I have installed them on a dozen cars without a single fitment issue. You don't need washers for the cross bars and it retains the bolts for the hanger bushings. Oh and it is typically the cheapest downpipe new, what more can you ask for?

Yeah I hear good stuff about Cobb. The Buschur DP is horrible IMO. I have the buschur and it is slowly knocking a hole in my TC. That is with the donute gasket not installed.

i didnt like the fitment of the megan downpipe, i had to use spacers on mine and sometimes it would rub the sway bar as well. the downpipe almost rubbed a hole through my beatrush undertray.

since then ive switched to an ams exhaust and it doesnt rub the sway bar or cross bars

In my 05 MR i have the Dc sport downpipe and testpipe in one. I have no figment issue, no washers either. Good price too.

The exhaust you have will make a difference too, mine is the Greddy tci

Road Race Engineering.

Clears with enough room for engine movement, has machined seats for the stock springs.

the megan on my 06 knocks like a **** (havent determined if its on the transfer case or on the tie bar). it came on the car, but im pretty sure its not one of the incorrect ones.

im very tempted to just get a cobb...

thanks for the input!

seems like cobb makes a generic 03-06 dp. that one will fit the acd well on the 8.5s and 9's huh?

too many people that complain don't have an acd specific dp or need to unbolt everything and realign their entire exhaust

the buschur downpipe was the best fitting dp I ever ran on my ix (buschur o2/dp/tp/catback) and the best quality...I've seen a few installed and none ever hit the TC...maybe you got the wrong model
