Test pipe cel question

I'm looking to reinstall my turboback exhaust and I am really curious to see if the CEL from not having a cat will cause power loss?

No power loss. Use an extended O2 bung or 2 spark plug anti foulers to address CEL.

I did search and I couldn't find anything. I actually read evo general and dyno tuning results everyday for the last 2 years but I decided its time to become a member of this great community.

Im actually on the fence about a CEL fix because I'm looking to get a tune soon and doesn't evoscan use the rear o2 sensor to determine AFRs?

This has been covered on here since 03. Use mechanical O2 Fix.

And as far as tuning ummmmm NO

now your just lying....

anyway, the rear o2 does nothing but check to make sure the cat is working properly. hence when it sees a rich condition it throws a code, so you know to replace the cat for emission purposes

Thanks ATTAHO! I went to Autozone yesterday and saw the spark plug defoulers when I was looking for an o2 defouler(which they don't carry.) I'm putting on my IX turbo today, then putting on the TBE, so its going to be a long exciting day.
