i found it easier to put the turbo on the manifold than put the manifold on.
have tbolt clamps for the IC piping nice and snug.
prime the car once or twice make sure oils in the turbo
its really easy to do.

i would normally come to help but i just cant tomorrow.
I'll be using this info too, thanks! Want to help me?!

What is brad penn oil?

Also is it necessary to replace the mani studs and nuts if I only have 25k on the car or should i just resuse? If I buy new should I buy the OEM ones? Thanks.

You can reuse the studs and nuts.

Brad Penn is a brand of oil approved by FP for use in their turbos. Check their website for a more comprehensive list of approved oils.

Call up Mitsu and order new studs and nuts for where the manifold bolts to the head. From what you are saying they all sound stripped. I also suggest ordering 2 new manifold to turbo bolts from mitsu. The hotside should have 2 studs in it from FP, I suggest replace the other 3 bolts from Mitsu. make sure you put anti-seize on every nut and bolt. FP Black install is pretty straight forward, only thing different from installing the oil feed line to filter housing. MAKE sure you replace all the copper crush washers with new ones on the banjo bolts for the oil and water lines...Also replace the oil return lines gaskets. Once everything is installed make sure to prime the turbo...Pull the electrical connectors off the coil packs and try starting it like 6-8 times so oil will get into the turbo and that will also let you know if you have any oil leaks, then hook the coil packs back up and start her up...

turbos on and its great now bolting everything was easy. im waiting on more parts to come in like the turbo studs and some more nuts for the headers. all the lines are attached, jpipe line from the boost controller wastegate line coolant lines oil lines (except for the fp line to the oil housing cause i need the part that connects the fp oil line to the housing which of course didnt come with the turbo i got. Where can i get this part (http://store.forcedperformance.net/m..._Code=Acc-Nuts) im not trying to wait for FP to deliver it to my house it wont get here until friday... also i need the bolt that goes to the head where the evo 9 turbo was getting its oil from.

i called FP and they told me its a 90 degree BSP to -4AN adapter (-4AN being the side to plug the fp oil line in) BSP is supposedly a British fitting? Im going to take a ride over to Bruces' Speed Shop tomorrow and bring them the oil plug i took out and the oil line so they can match it. (hopefully lol)
