Great write up OP. It's funny because I never thought you meant Mobil 1 will destroy your Evo, but i'm guessing some people wanted to comprehend it the way they wanted to. I just switch to AMSOIL befor seeing this post as i've read it is definetly a better oil then M1.

Also M1 is more expensive here than AMSOIL. Only about 3 bucks or so but hey lol

IMO, if I had a $1000 to mod a STOCK evo 8, I would recommend it would be in this order:

1.TRE max lock 1.5 way rear diff $465

2. Robispec springs $210

3. Upgraded underhood and shifter base bushings ~$50

4. Boost gauge $30

5. Wideband gauge ~$150 ish.

With the money left over you can use to get plenty of seat time autoxing the evo. my.02

Great tune

Alpine 102 HU optional
