Do-luck or fake?

Been searching for some lips for my 8 bumper.. really like the do-luck lip but I don't want cf. Found this on ebay... do-luck made from polyurethane? I thought they only sold cf lips? Is this fake/replica?

See link below:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...Q5fAccessories

Is there a similar lip in polyurethane that will fit the 8? I checked out baysonr, theirs is a little different.

I've never seen a real one that isn't carbonfiber. Can't totally comment on this one but I've seen similar lips on eBay listed as Do luck, but once I emailed them I found out they were replicas. Good luck.

Its a replica, in other words, not authentic, or fake. If it were a Do-luck part, it probably wouldn't be on Ebay in the first place and it would cost a whole lot more than $200. The polyurethane lips won't crack like carbon fiber or fiberglass so it's actually a better deal, maybe. I've read on here that a few of the holes don't line up and the finish is really crappy.

I would get it painted, so the finish doesn't matter to me.. but do you think it's worth it? Or is the fitment that bad?

Thanks for clarifying that it's PU

I purchased the same lip for my VIII.
I just installed it and it looks great. Some of the holes aren't a great match but the use of a dremel will make short use of that.

Although rare, you can find authentic do-luck parts on eBay. But why would you want to when you can buy something that will last longer, for a fraction of the price?

Just checked the link, and although that is not available, the other ones they had listed jumped from $149 to $249. Lame.

I bought one, only 1 fuggin hole lined up!

I sent it back for a refund. They seemed to say there was a bad "batch" going out.

what a nightmare that was.

Dammit, really? Looks like I'm going with carbon fiber then. I'm not paying $250 + $50 shipping when I can get a nice Rexpeed one for $360 or a Seibon one for $380. What did I say folks, the more people continue to buy that lip from that seller, the higher the price is gonna go
