Depo Tails...Searched

I was lookin for a set of these, but i noticed one listing is for black and one is for gunmetal backgrounds. In the pics they look the same to me. Does depo make 2 diff ones or is this just the sellers calling the same tails something different? Thanks

ebay has 1000's of them for sale, they look like jdm evo 9 tails...worth the money though. One advice is when receiving them swap the wires to the oem one you have, because they oem is better quality.

Gun metal is gunmetal and black is black. I bought a set of black ones and I like them alot. Fit good and the wiring wasn't to bad. Just put some extra sealant around the edge mine got a little wet inside and I had to fix it.

There are 2 types of JDM tails.. Flat black (Evo VIII MR) and Gloss black (Evo IX MR). Make sure you specify what color you want when placing an order..

The pictures on this site clearly show the difference in the flack black and the gunmetal.

These are headlights, but same color and material.. You can see the difference side by side.

Personally, the 8 MR heads are by far nicer looking. Although, they both look much better in person.

Hope this helps.

I remember people hating on the jdm reps in some of the picture threads, but it may have been headlights.

Do these get at get-togethers? Not that I care what anyone thinks, but I'm just curious the advantage of this over getting the housings painted.

I think they look damn good in the link above, and the price is right!

The only difference is the amber is just ever so slightly a different shade and the Depo ones don't say Stanley on them like the OE ones. Everyone I've ever told my tails are Depo had to go look at them again to believe me. I haven't had anyone hate on them. If I can get something exactly the same for more than half the price, I'm getting that one.

i have the gunmetal/flat black copies from depo... people dont notice that they are replicas, and only paid 212 instead of the $400+ for the oem ones

Saw a set of these replica tails in person and couldn't tell if they were OEM or not until I was told otherwise.
