rock auto?

I work commercial at auto zone and know most of our parts are wrong for the evo's...

I was looking at rock auto (www.rockauto.com) and the pics seem to be right.

I'm looking to order
-front wheel hub
-rear wheel hub
-inner tie rod
-belt

Does anyone have any experience to know if these parts from them will fit our cars and are not just meant for the normal lancer?

if the belt you are talking about is the timing belt, run away.

I ordered my front wheel hubs from Rock auto about a week and a half ago and the fitment was perfect. I bought the Timken Hubs for the front. Great website and good choices for prices as well. From order to delivery I think it took right at 5-6 days total.

As long as you choose the Lancer Evolution and not the regular lancer the parts will be exactly what you need....just make sure you read on the description, some parts aren't kept in stock at their warehouse.

I was looking at the axles before, and the part numbers matched those of the regular Lancers.

But I guess most of their parts are accurate.

I've bought a lot from rockauto over the years. their prices are good and you can usually find discount codes on the internet to save an additional 5-10% off your order.

Only one time did they screw up and send me lancer rear rotors for my EVO. I didn't find out about it till a few months later when I actually opened the box and noticed they were 4-lug, lol. I had been hauling them to and from the track for months as back-ups and here they were not even right for my car. By that time it was too late to do anything about it, so I just ate the $18/per rotor they charged me for them, lol.

A little while ago I bought a pair of wheel hubs from Advance Auto parts. They gave me the wrong ones. I paid for the right ones, but the guy at the counter handed me the wrong ones.

Turns out the ones they physically handed me cost 3 times as much as I paid for the right ones.

What a hassle to convince them that I wanted to give them back the more expensive ones in exchange for the right ones that I paid for.

It would have been easier for me to just return them without a reciept and let them give me a merchandise card for 3 times what I paid originally and then use that to buy the right hubs (and have money left over for other things like brake pads).

Always do your homework and double check what you are told is the right part.

+1 to rock auto! Their 02 sensors are at least 20-30 dollars cheaper then anywhere else.

Use rock auto all the time. Matter of fact I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the motor in my 05. I got the oil pump, oil pump housing, complete timimg belt kit including gaskets, o-rings and seals, and water pump from them. All these parts are OEM quality or better.
Whoever was bashing on the timing belt dont know what their talking about, the one I got from Rock auto is manufactured from the same material the OEM is made from and actually feels more durable and robust. Point is for the price, quickness and customer service you get from them their hard to beat.

Pretty funny that he posted it was made out of the same material but then states it "felt" more durable and robust. i love our community sometimes! haha.

whatever man, are you 12 years old??

And to the above poster, to clarify my statement. Was that the t/b was the same material as OEM with thicker meat above the teeth and an overall less flimsy "feel" than OEM and other timing belts I've installed. Rock auto brands,(dayco,gear..etc..) have been used in the Evo,DSM community for years with no problems by many people, including myself.
