Intercooler sprayer

I'm curious do most if you guys take out the ic sprayer and reservoir? I just put in a ets intake and it's in the way a bit. I don't really use it either so I figure it's kinda pointless. What do you guys think?

I installed an eta intake and the filter was hitting my resevoir. I never use it because I never found myself in a situation where I needed it so I pulled it all out.

that is a great idea, exactly how did you accomplish the duel map with the switch?

KevinD from EvoDYnamics did it for me when he tuned my car. I think its just something offered in the software he uses.

I don't road race so this doesn't apply to me.

If I want to run it at the strip I'll just mist on some water. That's the reason why I took mine out.

Just read the entire article and I have to say that's pretty awsome. The fact the ecu can control all of this is great. I don't have an Evo, but will definately make use of this when I do. Should any tuner be able to set this up or is it not all that difficult to adjust the settings using EcuFlash?

I also removed it from my 03, the system is nice but for daily driven, non-raced evos, I don't think its really necessary. Plus that's quite a bit of weight on the nose of the car, which is not too good.

It was handy for spraying down the IC at the drag strip between runs, but otherwise, I don't think I ever used mine.

Tephra mods for ECUFlash can utilize the IC sprayer switch for map switching as well as well as having it spray for many different parameters like that article suggest.

ECUTek like that article mentions is done for.

As for the IC sprayer I chucked mine in the dumpster years ago

Get a Buschur intercooler and call it a day. Or somehow rig the sprayers to spray to one side or the other, and douse peoples headlights with unnamed fluids while your at stop lights

Would E85 make a difference in the need for this as well as a big badass intercooler? I hear that it burns so much cooler that there is less need for a huge intercooler much less a sprayer.
