Someone Broke my Rear window.

So I woke up this morning walked outside and was so happy to find that someone threw a rock through the back window of my car. That was sarcasm I'm extremely pissed. Should I file a police report? Would it help with insurance? Should I tell the insurance company? Would it just be to much hassle and time? Should I just replace the window myself, and call it a day? Thanks

Contact your insurance company. They will tell you what needs to be done. Do you have glass coverage?

Of course you should file a police report, it's vandalism! Your deductible will help determine whether it's going to be more efficient going through insurance or just paying out of pocket to replace it.

Chances are it will be cheaper to do it your self instead of going through insurance. Won't be more then 300 tops.

Thats probably the best story I've ever heard unfortunantly in my neighborhood, rocks are a lot more abundant than kids with bb guns but I'm filing a report, not going through insurance, figured my deductible is 500, so it wouldn't be worth it.

I was driving under a bridge and some kids were throwing rocks off the bridge and cracked my front windshield. My deductible was $500, so it was cheaper than filing a claim. Reporting it to the police did a load of good. "We'll send someone to the area to look for people throwing rocks." Right.

Wow man that really sucks. I'd call your insurance. I had a chipped front windshield and get it replaced the next day for free via my insurance.

i think front glass coverage is free in most states but the back, not sure of. Definately call insurance at the very least to find out.
