need help removing trust gauge overlays!!!

Ok so when i bought my car almost 2 years ago, it came with the trust gauge overlays on the gauge cluster. I dont know why i waited this long to finally pull them out but i now had the time since my car will be down for a while. I had no problem pulling the cluster apart and physically taking the faces off. Everything came out good except for one thing. apparently there is a dimmer switch wired to these overlays which on the other end is wired into the cars wire harness. I put the cluster back in and it lights up when the lights are off but now when i go to flip the lights on the cluster lights turn off. And now the oem dimmer switch doesn't work and it did before when everything was hooked up. The problem is that i do not know where those 2 wires originally hook up too. The 2 wires that the trust aftermarket dimmer are spliced in to. I have pictures showing the 2 wires.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is where the 2 wires come from on the harness. They run with the wires that go to the power mirrors switch and the acd switch. What are these wires and where do they originally go???

Those wires run to this dimmer

"these wires" are the power for the trust gauges. With any luck removing them will clear the issue up.
