Switching Out Evolution VIII Seats? Options?

I've had my Evolution VIII for 8 years now and I think it's time to get a more comfortable seat, just wondering what seats are most popular in terms of fitment and comfort. If you've got photos of your setup, feel free to post them and how much you paid for the setup. Thanks!

If you want comfortable racing seats... Stick with the stockers. Brides, Sparcos etc are worse as far as comfort go.

You can always ****** up some Lancer seats if it's really that bad.

I switched out my driver seat for Bride and while it holds me in place better, it definitely isn't more "comfortable."

Lol, whaaaaaaaaaat??? A comfortable evo? What is this you speak of? Next you're going to tell me we have cruise control!

Good luck in the search for anything resembling comfortable, especially for extended periods of time.

Trust me, i've made plenty of sacrifices with my car in terms of drive-ability...

Tilton Twin Cerametallic / Built Shep Transmission / HKS 280s / Gutted Trunk, Backseat & more.

All i'm looking for is a better seat because the back bolsters on mine broke a long time ago and having lower back pain is getting annoying because of a seat.

There really isn't anything better out there? Maybe i'll just have to find another stock driver seat..

that might be your best bet since almost all seats are made for performance and not comfort

I feel ya man...You could always stuff a pillow on your seat or something, like those gel things from truck stops? Probably alleviate the back pain, and you wouldn't have to suffer trying to squeeze into a racing bucket every day. Or suffer the price. Just my $.02 but you've already built a race car pretty much, one can throw comfort out the window at that point.

damn I didn't even know you still had an evo...I haven't seen your name on here in years

I would personally take it to an upholstery shop and have them redo the seat. I'm sure they can make it structurally as good as new as long as your outer material is in good shape.

Evo IX MR seats (Or SE if you can find them for a reasonable price).

I would say Sparco but I haven't ridden in mine yet (Its the new R505's so I don't think too many people have them yet.

You may want to look into the Recaro Sports or Sport Toplines. They're equipped with extendable seat cushions and inflatable lumbar support. Have no idea on the price.

Yesssir, I've been lurking and kept it in the garage
