Evo IX Mr headlights w/ fog lights into a Evo IX GSR?

Hey guys, I am about to pick up a set of MR headlights because I wanted fog lights. What do I need to purchase to make the fog lights work in my GSR? Harness? Relay switch? Where do I buy these things?

The 2006 Evo 9 RS and GSR's don't come with fog lights. I believe only the SE and MR come with fog lights for the IX. I'm sure others can chime in.

SE, MR, and SSL in that case comes with fog lights. I've seen a couple threads on here about the RS and GSR with no fog lights.. maybe I'm wrong.

Well, you're going to have to do a bit of rewiring and HID bulbs and ballast acquisition as the standard halogen headlights use different wiring harnesses from the HID/foglight headlights.

Right now, I have an aftermarket hid kit on my head lights so it should be plug and play with the HID's. I'm just unsure about the Fog lights.

Are the bulb housing for your non-hid headlights d2s size? Because if they are not the hid kit bulbs you have won't fit into the MR headlights you bought.

The MR low beam HID use bulb size d2S while the GSR bulbs are 9006. You will have to get a 9006 to d2s harness conversion on Ebay. As for the fogs you will have to go to Radio Shack and get an automotive relay and toggle switch, then you'll have to wire it up. There's a write up on here somewhere.
