fp black replacement

I would like to set up my car with an FP Black but they are like 6 weeks out!!! What could I go with instead to get similar HP and and minimal Lag? Looking to make 550hp on E85 for now but i want room to grow.

good question, i wonder if the BBK-B would get you close to that. not sure if you'll have room to grow though. are you looking at a stock frame turbo?

I would like to keep a stock frame, but I will consider other options. Trying to keep costs down. I would be willing to spend a little more to get more. My big concern is how fast it will spool. I was talking to a friend who said the precision 5857 would spool fast.

the BBK-B is in line with the FP Red, they will both get you 550whp and possibly up to 600 on a built motor with good supporting mods.

Have you checked with the Vendors here on EvoM? There is almost always someone with the FP blacks in stock...

Ive tried a bunch of vendors from this site and cant seem to find one in stock. I have found a couple new ones on the private sales, but they sell in like an hour. I am going to look into the precision 5857, most likely from AMS.

You need to contact Mike at AWD Motorsports, he got them in stock. Gotta hurry though.

agiaquinto, try with GTX3582r, that turbo produce good HP 550 to 600 hp+ and is bolt on... the cost is almost same to fp black... I bought an used fp black, but my other option was gtx3582.. talk with Patrick B. That turbo spool like a black!! It´s ball bearing! if your interisting, the only thing, tell them that you need the strong and high psi spring pressure of the internal wastegate.

If u wanna stick with stock frame i would go with the Fp Red if you dont want to wait for the Black. I had a Red, made 440 on a mustang dyno with decent amount of supporting mods full weight. stock block, stock head and went 10.59@131. I would say Red if anything besides the Fp Black. Because down the road u can always upgrade! Red will make 525-560whp all day! Just my 02!

+1 I agree the black isn't as great as it seems. We put one in my friends 8 and weren't as happy as we were with the red.

ATP3582 GT is same size as a black, same price as a black, just spools a little faster since it's a Ball bearing.
