Brake piston wont go back in

im changing my brake pads today and im down to my last brake. I notice that brake fluid is over-flowing back up to the brake fluid container. I twist open the cap and re-tighten it. As i try to de-press the last piston, it wont budge. did i f something up or any suggestions?

Think thru what you said-- take the cap off, get some fluid out and depress the caliper piston which will raise the fluid level.. keeping the cap on at full and trying to depress the piston will get you know where.

I would have left the cap on the reservoir, opened the bleeder screw with a bleeder line and bottle on said caliper and then push piston back in. This way you are getting the crappy old fluid out of the lines.

But then again, I would flush them anyway when I was done.

Take the cap off get a turkey baster and suck some of the brake fluid out, try not to get any contaminants in there. Probably should do a fluid flush after you're done.

good luck

1.Crack open bleeder screw.
2. Push piston back in. (allow fluid to come out of bleeder)
3.Close bleeder screw. Done.

Just don't get any air in there. That's why you use a clear hose on the end og the bleeder.
