Help with UICP
Ok so heres my story i bought my car(IX MR) in may of 2010. and i knew that it had problems. It had a CEL and garbage truck exhaust on it. and leaking gaskets all over the place. So i got it home and inspected top to bottom. full fluid change. When i bought it. it would only boost to 15LBS at WOT. And i knew that wasnt good. So i parked it. until december when i had my mind set to get to the boost leak or something. So as i start to break it apart I pull the turbo out and see the j-pipe bent and not sealed completely on the back side. So i call up and get a replacement asap. also thats when i ordered my turbo xs tbe megan o2 housing, ets upper/mini battery and lower pipes, and mistimoto FMIC, walbro, after installing everything besides the upper and walbro. I took it for a spin for the first time since i parked in last september. And well it was boosting fine. And this brings me to my problem. after i put it back together, stock uicp on. the couple blows off under Wot. And so i went and put an ets t-bolt clamp on thinking it wouldnt happen again. I was wrong it blew off again. whats wrong?

Here's some things to try:
1) Use hairspray to hold the UICP pipe on more securely.
2) Tighten the T-bolt clamp more.
3) Use 2 T-bolt clamps.
I had trouble understanding your post about whether or not you were using an ETS UICP or the stock UICP?

The issue you could be having is that the stock UICP expands a lot under boost, a harder material might be needed to keep it from popping off. i.e. a new metal UICP.
I would do it on both, just make sure you don't get an over spray inside the TB.
