O there is no doubt in my mind the dealer made out well, but when don't they lol. But evos are hard to find for sale for a good price around me, so only having 60k, ran great, perfect compresson, mint interior, excellent feel overall, it was worth the $ to me

Aren't the IX's that much better than the VIII's though? I knew a good friend who had just bought an VIII, then test drove a IX and said it was a world of difference. So he ended up going upside down on the VIII for the IX LOL... I know they're a bit pricer- but if you were going to get one wouldn't you want to shoot for the IX's?

He's looking for an 05 which is still and 8, wit better things such as ACD, front lsd, and 10.5 hotside on the turbo, and still way cheaper than a 9

So in your opinion the 05 VIII > IX's because of the things you listed? If I were to buy an evo- and I had up to 25k to spend, which would you recommend then?

Oh I'm not saying the 8>9,I wasjust saying the posotives of why he specifically wants and 05 over 03/04. Now up to $25k, I would personally want a 5spd 9, you get the best of everything, although the only thing I favor on the 8 is the front bumper, seems more aggressive to me, but to each is own. With the 9 you get the better turbo, mivec, better interior, better wheels, acs, front lsd, better taillights an headlights, better suspension (given the right package, not sure if the 5spd came with the bilsteins)

No problem. All discussion are welcome.

Thanks. I'm gonna call them and see if they can do that price as a "on the road" price.

if you buy an evo for 15k, plan to have 5k in the bank for mods maintenance etc.
