Rear end whine?

Hey guys took my car out this weekend and noticed the whining in the rear end. Are these cars known to whine like that? It's not grinding or acting funny just a noise. Recently had hub slider replaced in tranny but tranny as well as all differential fluid was changed with Mitsubishi fluids to spec. Also what of Roma are you 6 speed guys seeing at around 80 mph? Mine is around 3200-3300 at 80 and was just curious if that was high like gears were higher than stock ratio?? Thanks ahead of time guys like o said the rear end isn't an issue just kind of annoying at times

idk i haven't heard mine whine since i've had it, my shep trans does have that distinctive awd whine in first gear but myu rear end is stock,, did you have a stock rear end?

and yea 32-3300 rpms around 80 is good lol i have a 5 speed so im around 3500.... it sucks but taller gearing will solve all of that

It whines reguarless of clutch engagement or disengagement so I thought I could rule out the T case? I'm gonna change fluid today. I know the guy at the shop changed the tranny and T case fluid car has 67k and I recently ought it perhaps it just needs new fluid

I have heard the "death whine" where everyone thinks it's the rear diff and its the T case. However it makes the whine when decell as well as clutch pushed in which I don't think its a symptom of the T case. It's not unbearably loud just noticable and new

I would make sure that the rear diff was filled to the proper level. Even Mitsu techs are sloppy.

Okay. Car doesn't whine while in gear and decellerating. However it does whine while accelerating in every gear and also while decelerating in neutral. Really seems like a ring and pinion issue to me I'm gonna try to pump some LSD fluid into the fill hole just to make sure it isn't low but other than that I don't think it's a transfer case issue

okay guys update apparently mitsubishi gave me all the wrong fluids. They gave me what they called "manual tranny lube" to put into the tranny and transfer case, and Atf sp 2 for the acd which is correct. So i now have one gallon oof 90w lsd diaqueen for the rear end and transfer case and a gallon for the tranny of 75-85w diaqueen super multi gear oil. i am draining and refilling everything this weekend i hope that nothing has been damaged because of their ignorance.

yeah idk what i can do i mean it is honestly 100% their fault they are mitsu they should know what goes where i mean i ended up tracking down the part numbers but thats their job they looked it up in the cpu and got me that fluid. But im sure there is no way to make them responsible to the damages if there are any are there?
