yeah, me too - I think it's the suede or something, but my prelude was bad about it too, but not that bad.

i know it is a bit strange so i agree with you

however, i have noticed that almost every possible question has been asked on this board so i always search first regardless of how stupid my question might seem.

back to the subject, it happened to me a few times before but it stopped lately

here are 2 suggestions:

1) Buy one of those chains that touch the ground (you see them on trucks all the time)
2) touch the door with your leg first then close the door

I agree with Blonde this issue has been going on and off, and build alot of threads already just for this issue.

Just click on this: http://www.mystaticguard.com/products.cfm

And it works GUARANTEED .You can find these at Walmart for $2.99 at the cleaning isle.

God! That is the only thing I hate about the Evo. Everytime I go to close my door, it never fails to shock me, not once!

I usually just give the door a quick touch of the elbow when I get out, I hate getting shocked!

i usually touch the metal door lock (on your left when you get out
of the car)...

so which one works?
1) static guard
2) Dawny (sp?) or
3) metal strip

??

I had two 3rd gens - but I feel your pain, and I thought mine would stop with this beautiful ride, but I guess it's just the EVO's way of reminding you that it's always got something up its sleeve....
