FP Red Turbo Install, Ivey Tune to Come.

FP Red Turbo Install

Dyno sheets uploaded.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ml#post9341762

**************UPDATE MAY 21st 2011*******************

I just got off the phone with Sean Ivey.

450WHP 400 Foot Pounds of Torque 29PSI FP RED 93 OCTANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, you could buy my Stock Turbo, send it to FP for $999.00 and get a brand spanking new Red back and make what I made. My IX only has bolt-ons and S1 cams and 93 Octane, it rules. You too can rule.

2006 Evo IX MR Mod List

· HKS Intake Filer (need a new one, Yellow Please)

· FP 84mm Intake Pipe

· FP Red Turbo, ported

· FP 25 PSI Internal Waste Gate

· Ported Stock Exhaust manifold

· Evo Power Mods 3” 02 Eliminator downpipe

· AMS Resonated test pipe

· AMS Cat Back Exhaust w/Vibrant muffler

· Kart Boy Exhaust hangers

· Synapse Synchronic BOV, re-circulated

· AMS Intercooler pipes

· AMS FMIC

· AMS Mini Battery

· Spoolin-up COP ignition kit

· OEM Evo IX Spark plugs, gapped at .22 I believe.

· Works Aperture High Pressure Throttle Body Seals, OEM Throttle Body Gasket

· Catch Can, re-circulated to the intake

· GSC S1 Cams

· ARP Head Studs

· Walboro 255LPH Fuel pump

· ACT XTSS Street clutch w/ street disk

· SS Clutch line

· Shifter bushings, under hood and at the shifter

· Stop Tech Slotted & Dimpled rotors

· HAWK HPS pads, Dot4 fluid

· BLOX Front engine motor mount

· AEM Tru-Boost Boost controller

· Swift Spec R Springs w/ OEM Bilstein

· Volk LE37 Wheels

· FIC 1150cc injectors

Over the weekend with the help of MagicManRed I installed my brandy new FP Red Turbo. So far it is untuned and still needs some tweaks to fit the exhaust properly but overall I am extremely happy. Lag is as you expect about 500RPM shift to the right but I am also untuned and running the maximum of 12PSI but mostly just hit a 7PSI total. Very smooth turbo and snaps to attention at about 4000RPM’s but again untuned so hopefully I’ll get some spool back.

Sean Ivey will be handing my tune as he tuned it last time. That’ll be next week.

Above is my old Dyno run from Late August of 09. Afterwards I found MASSIVE boost leaks and even rebuilt my throttle body seals which I recommend everyone do. Afterwards I hit 314WHP on a Mustang Dyno which translates to about 368 on Ivey’s Dynojet.

Below is my engine bay before the install.

Custom 02 Dump from Evo Power Mods

Red Installed

Dump fits tightly.

Pokes out just low enough.
Updates soon.

And to the FP Guys….

• YES I used the FP High Pressure Oil Line
• YES I used the proper Oil AND Filter

So hopefully it won’t explode on me now. It’ll be doing pump gas duty in the range of 28-30PSI, well within its operational level.

Also I am now selling my stock turbo and it has the stock wastegate and I’ll throw in a stock 02 housing.

My HKS Intake pipe is also for sale and comes with rubber hose to connect to turbo and the reducer for the MAF.

Thanks guys!

Cool looking downpipe. I bought a 1-piece downpipe/o2 dump like that from MAP. One of the best mods I've done...one less place to leak from. Should be getting my hta green any day now and I'll be headed to Ivey's very soon as well. Your seup looks great...can't wait to see the results, should make some great power

not a bad setup. Switching to sd soon? You could then remove that long recirc tube

I'll post Dyno Sheets soon, I'll even overlay them over the stock turbo to see the added lag and so on.

Yeah it made great power. I am gona keep it lower at 26PSI it made 438 and 360 Torque so I will keep it there to be safe. 29PSI for track days and I'll add 100 Octane to keep it safe. Track numbers later on.
