Buy a high mileage or low miles?
what? yeah right.
Hurricane damage on a car wouldn't exactly be hidden. Don't buy one that looks like it has been through a hurricane.
Flood? pfft. Maybe on the humid gulf coast at less than sea level like New Orleans or Mobile.
NC, SC, GA, Southern VA, FL, etc. cars usually look mint underneath. Sorry you live in CT, but don't hate.

i bought mine in january and it had 146,000 miles on it when i bought it... came with 2 file folders of receipts(mods and maintenance) ... there were a few items i replaced right off the bat(only cause i am really **** about certain things)...
i test drove 7 evo's before i bought this one...with a range of miles any where from 30k-to the one i bought with 146k...
the one i bought drove nicer, the trans not as notchy as the others, no whining from the t-case....
as long as you keep up with maintenance and fluid changes, it should last forever.
