Well considering I am underage ... dont knoe how to drive manual.... That test drive wont happen lol.... but I see a lotta ppl who dont have the chance to test drive because the dealers wont let them.... Now I dont knoe about you but I think theres some kind of like illegalness to that rite? I mean shouldnt you be ABLE to test drive a car you're interested in getting? I think dealers are being too much of ###ho#es to let ppl drive the damn car....
Of course there are those ppl that wanna test drive a car for the hell of it and not even think of buying the car but come on ppl.... let us test drive it... we're the ones that are gonna buy the car... LoL
The closest I've come to the Evo is by looking and hearing only... and must I say that thing sounds hella sexy. LoL I've seen and heard the SRT-4 and already .... BIG difference hahah .... SRT-4 looks like a Hot Wheels Car compared to the Evo ... =P
Of course there are those ppl that wanna test drive a car for the hell of it and not even think of buying the car but come on ppl.... let us test drive it... we're the ones that are gonna buy the car... LoL

Listen my man. The Evo reigns Supreme, yes it is more than the srt4. It salso outhandle the Srt4. It will stop better than the Srt4. It will go faster than the Srt4. If you cant afford a new Evo look into a used one. MOST OF ALL THE SRT4 IS STILL A NEON.

Another thing you forgot to mention is that about 1500-3000 in an EVO and you can possibly hit high 11's as with 1500-3000 SRT can hit 12.5's with drags. Body Stiffening, AWD are the major differences between the SRT-4 and the EVO (gotta love those HID's). I rely dont care how fast a neon can go in the 1/4 , all I care about is turning fast and doing it well Ohya dont forget about torque steer. But I got nothing but love for the Neon. Those where my only differences that lead me to buy an EVO over the SRT-4. Price wasnt to much of a concern with me. And on another note I dont want this to turn into a pissing contest and like I said I love the SRT-4 along with mostly any Turbo'd car.

The Neon is for people who could not afford an WRX or EVO/STI!
Do yourself a favor and buy the EVO for AWD.
You cannot MOD any car to have All Wheel Drive!!!
You can easily add crap to make a car go fast in a line!
If you want to go fast do your self a favor and buy a V8!!!
YOU ARE BUYING THE EVO FOR ALL WHEEL DRIVE FOR SUPERIOR CONTROL!!!
DO NOT BUY THE EVO FOR THE POWER. THE POWER IS SIMPLY A BONUS TO AN ALREADY LEGENDARY CAR!

man, then we get threads like the one below in our SRT forums all the time where SRT owners insist that they are faster than EVO's......even when you throw professional test data at them. It drives me nuts !

It's like that movie Momento. Some people can't handle the truth so they refuse to accept it with strange justifications on why their own stuff is superior.
If you spend 20,000$ on some crap your going to find a way to like it. Even if it is a neon with a mitsubishi turbo that I could have easily added on a regular neon for 5 grand.
P.S. Did you know the SRT-4 has a turbo made by mitsu. When they rag on the EVO they are ragging on a car that has a similar but superior turbo.

The SRT-4 sounds like it is a great bang-for-the-buck. I haven't driven one yet but I would be curious to do so.
As someone stated earlier, they are in different classes. The Porsche 911TT is superior to the EVO in probably every performance category. This does not take away anything from the EVO, however, the 91TT is in a different class.
Same thing with the EVO vs. SRT-4. They are both great cars.
It just depends on how much money you want to spend or can afford to spend at the time of purchase.

wow.. amazed by how many " its still a neon" - wow. And the rest of the world looks at the Evo and goes "its still a mitsubishi". Lets face it, Mitsu doesn't exactly have the loftiest image either. But that doesn't deter the fact that the EVO 8 is an awesome car, and an awesome car for the money. Same for the SRT4... one has to decide how much they want to spend, and what they can afford.
To the guy that posted the SCC links about eVO being car of the year... do you know which car SCC had picked last year for Car of the Year? I'll give you 1 guess.
