Just ordered Spoolinup COP Setup for my 8

Just ordered the Spoolinup COP setup for my 8. After recently installing 1450's and switching over to e85, my startup/idle has been a little funky. It is never consisteny, it seems when the car starts up strong, it will idle at around 800ish, and with the a/c on, even lower. When cruising and going into neutral, the rpm's will drop to about 500, catch themselves, and go back to 800-900. However, when the car starts up rough, the car drives a lot better I've noticed, with none of the rpm drop when using a/c, and no rpm drops below idle rpm when going from throttle to neutral.

Me and my tuner have been working for about a month fixing the bugs with the idle, and have got it down to two things. Either my IAC is beginning to get faulty, or it's spark related.

Hoping the Spoolinup COP will make my idle a ton better, as I've read from customer reviews that it does wonders for idle/driveability/wot.

My car is stock maf / stock head / stock block / stock 05 turbo, e85, 29psi, all bolt on's and HKS 272's.

know what.. not to say this was your issue but i had those same symptons of ac or defroster/heat was on car would stumble where i'd have ot hit gas to keep it idling... it may be a result of leak..

recently my oil light came on..so i changed my switch.when i did i noticed it was leaking oil from it as well.. so with the new one in.."Miraciously" all those idle issues went away.. i kid you not..

now i can turn on the ac or heat doesn't stumble one bit

You know what, the car has been dripping a teeny bit of oil recently, where as before it would get wet underneath but not actually drip...where was your oil leak coming from?

mine was dripping oil too.... and i though tit was trsf case because it had oil on it..but it wasn't because it didn't have that ratched smell...oh god tcase oil smells bad..

but what i saw underneath was oil would be kinda in th emiddle of where the tcase and tranny met, but it was regular oil.. so my guess is it was dripping down from my pressure switch...when i actually took a look the teflon was kinda pushed back on the thread so it wasn' tsealing properly and oil would drip past the thread.

Hmm, after reading some threads, it seems that the only kind of leak which would have anything to do with idle would be a vacuum based leak.

Welp, the coil on plug came in.. WOW, first impression is that this thing works awesome! Driveability, idle, wot, shifting, everything feels much smoother, and the car revs so much better!

Some pix of the spoolinup piece:

If your reflashing your tune---its going to take some time to settle down as it learns the permameters of the tune and conditions so the ecu can adjust. I have the kit and it works great--very smooth.

Yup, extremely smooth.

I haven't heard one bad thing either, and my friend just got the kit a few months back and has loved it, so I knew it'd be a good investment. Matt from spoolinup is very quick to reply to questions asap, so the customer service is top notch
