quick question about forge wg adjustment or any wg actuator arm really.

K so long story short had boost problems would only hit 10psi at redline, turned out to be cracked junk ebay mani previous owner installed. When I had everything out replacing it with the stock one I decided to tighten up the forge wg arm to see around 23 psi. With it all back together and the new vta dump installed car ran great for a month. Then I started seeing slow spool, but hitting 20 psi at redline. Been stumped for weeks bout it. Never would I think it was the wg. Today I was going to test the wg by disconnecting it and seeing if it spooled past 22 and faster. Before doing so I wiggled the flapper and it was loose. I thought that's weird cause it took me and a friend to get it on the peg last time. Tightened it down 4 turns took it for a drive and boost problem solved full 24 psi by 3600rpm.

Now my question is how could the wg arm come loose when its sitting on the peg with a caulder pin through it? Is the arm actually turning out of the end and the nut itself and is there anyway to keep it from happening again? I didn think it could ever loosen itself with the nut tightened down but somehow it did.

what you might have done is forget to tighten the locknut on the wastegate actuator arm...if it wasnt tightened, then that could be it or the wastegate flapper on the inside isnt full sealing??

I remember tightening down last time. I even double checked because I had to take the turbo and housing to a local shop to have a hole rethreaded and like I said it took me and another person to get the arm back on. Im wondering if maybe the vibration loosened it enough to cause the arm itself to rotate back out? I took a sharpie and made a mark on the nut and on the end of the shaft that twist so if it starts to back off again I will know for sure.
