Kelford cams need Valve springs?

Hey guys so i am doing my 60k service on monday and am going to put my kelford 272's in with the service. i have used supertech dual springs at home but no retainers... is it needed to put springs in with the cams? or can i just run them without and if so do i need to buy supertech retainers? or can i get any titanium retainer? thanks for the help

Funny I'm doing the same thing...just got my kelfords and supertech duals in! If you call supertech they should be able to send you some titanium retainers. I would not run anything but their retainers on supertech springs epically if they are duals. Also it's your gamble with running stock valvetrain with the kelfords...some people get away with it. Don't skimp bro you don't wanna say "I shoulda did". GL

Might want to think about Lifters as well. I did the cam and spring at the same time and a year later a lifter callapsed. I went with the JAM but I would go with the GSC if I had to do it again or next time.

It only takes once to float a valve.. I would definitely go with springs/retainers.

My personal opinion is I would run manley. supertech is alright but I think the manleys are better
