Stripped manifold bolt

I have this last bolt behind #1 runner on a tubular manifold that's close to being stripped and I can't get to it with anything but a open 12mm wrench. But it only strips it further. There is no room to wrap a closed end wrench.

I'm thinking I'll have to surgically cut the bolt with a Dremmel and may have to replace the threaded stud...

Anyone else dealt with this removing manifolds? Thanks

ouch thats no fun. Any chance you can get an american size on it? try a 15/32 or 1/2 that might do the trick.

Last resort use a small grinder and whittle the nut down to the threads and you may be able to get it off without damaging the stud. You got it right precision surgical grinding with risk.

Have you used some wd40 and heat the PP out of it?

Did you try a swivel head ratchet? That's the only way I could reach those bolts.

Ive seen people weld nuts onto the end of stripped or broken studs and then just cranked them off that way. You can safely weld on car if you know what your doing.

I welded mine back on. But its not a long term fix. Get the fp stud kit and repair it.
