Buying a used 9MR. Just checked compression... thoughts?

Hey chaps... I know I know... another compression thread.

Anyway... I just had the dealer do a compression check on this vehicle I'm considering purchasing.

They came up... 135, 125, 130, 130.

The dealer had good things to say about the car in general... they said those were within spec... I guess I was just expecting that if the dealer was going to do it, they'd have really nice gauges, and it wouldn't be so low?

The car is a 9 MR USDM...

Thoughts?

Every gauge is different, some read high and some read low (even in same brands). What I was always told is how far the numbers are off from each other. They are all close, thats what has always mattered to me in a comp test.

Yeah... they seemed alright to me. Anyone else have anything to offer on this?

A leak-down test is also an excellent indicator of an engine's condition. Most places that do a buyers inspection will also do a leak-down in addition to a compression test.
