Water damaged evo 8 ?

Found a Black EVO 8 in a driveway around my area. Asked them if theye wanted to sell it and he told me it had water damage. Nothing in the interior works, it has a brand new fuse/ red junction box on the left, interior wiring is all fried up. Engine works, milage is around 20K "supposisly. Couldnt get much info because it's his brother's car and he went to the military. What is a good price to offer him. I was thinking of building another track car and have mind as a daily. Nothings really done up with the car, mainly stock. Let me know guys.

BTW: its a 03-04

Is it an 03 or an 04?? I would offer like $7500 unless he can prove that it has that low of mileage on it. And even with that mileage and all the possible headaches you might have to deal with the most would probably be like $9k for it.

It sounds like a headache to me. If its a drag car theres a lot less hassle than a street car. There are so many electronics under the carpet etc. I personally would never buy a water damaged vehicle.

I'd only buy it for parts or for a dedicated track/drag car.

It would be a great project car. Take it down to the frame. Put a cage in it....ahh I'm getting excited and I'm not even buying it

I'd love me a dedicated race car!
