Hey fellas. I'm from Round Lake IL.
Do not have an Evo. That is why I registered here. I am on a Mustang forum, and have come to realize that forums are the best place to get information. So, that being said.
I have a 2006 Mustang GT with a turbo kit. 64K miles on the dot. Right around 500whp. Full suspension, body kit. Electronics, you name it, everything short of a forged block...
Now I did not come here to be cocky, purely for information.
This guy near me wants to trade his 03 Evo heads up for it. It has a full Veil Side body kit, a boost controller, flip up DVD screen. 3" stainless exhaust and headers. It has something like 270awhp. and 23K miles.
What do you guys think? And please be honest. I am very interested in this. And have near 0 experience with imports.

question. why do you want to trade from a mustang to evo? from 06 to 03 from 500 whp to 270? just wondering.

Why do you say strange? Honestly, I am pretty much clueless on Evo's.
I forgot, he put ACT clutch and flywheel in 3K miles ago.

I did not like that kit either. I would much rather have the stock body.
I need something little more "Road Friendly" I live in IL and don't have $ to buy a winter beater.
The car is VERY clean, just can't get past that "face"... Low miles is a plus, but it's ugly.

To the previous question, that was never answered... Why do you want to do this again? I mean are you looking for a new project or are you looking to jump from RWD to AWD?? I have to agree it seems suspect deal because this dude wants to trade your fully built car for a car that has basic bolt ons with a boo hoo enhaust manifold and a boo hoo clutch upgrade(JMHO)
... and if he hasn't tampered with the odo and this almost decade old (garage queen)car trully only has 23K on it when did he upgrade the clutch and why if he's only putting down stock HP #'s? It might be an indicator that he has been launching the **** out of it. Plus that body kit makes the EVO look like a riced out plain jane Lancer

The only reason I am getting rid of the Steed is I don't have money for a DD. I have a POS 97 grand am that I drive, but it's slowly going down the ****ter. And I don't think the Grand Am will make it through the IL winter and the Stang is a NC car that has NEVER seen snow/sleet/hail or even slush for that matter. Always garaged, and I want it that way. Oh, and it's half of a Scotch Brite pad off the ground.
I need something with 4wd or AWD. I was looking at a Trail Blazer SS and the guy wanted to trade for a 'Vette and he was REALLY interested in the 'Stang but he sold the damn thing straight out. Douche

well honestly you have a nice stang, would i trade it for an evo? hell yea. Just had to be the right one. Especially if road conditions are an issue. I went up to big bear during the snowing season and park rangers weren't allowing anyone to go any further than the safe zone unless you had an AWD vehicle, it was an awesome feeling when I got to go up and my gf d-bag brother had to stay back. ironically he drives a stang hahaha.
Point is if road conditions are an issue and AWD is a must, trade the stang but look for a better deal. I would not take that evo unless he put about 10k on top of the trade even then i would have to think twice take it to about 3 mechanics to look it over.
