Question about bbs rims

I bought 3 bbs mr se rims today, and happen to have a regular single bbs rim. I am trying to make one full set. Was wondering if its possible to get the regular bbs rim painted to match the diamond black. Maybe a paint code or should any powdercoat place be able to match it? thanks

if you want them all to match take them to a shop and get them painted or powder coated, that is the only way they are all going to match and look good.

Honestly, if you wanted to paint them all yourself, it's an option. You can etch each wheel then spray bomb whatever color you choose. It could save you some cash.

Thanks, I know I can either paint or powdercoat them all. Just seams like a waste as I like the special edition look. I'm going to bring it in to a shop and see if they can get it to match

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that BBS doesnt release paint codes so you will have to rely on the painters skill to match it.

You'd probably need a match rather than a code anyway, since the 3 wheels are likely weathered... so they wouldn't look "stock" compared to the fresh one.

I had a damaged rim that I needed fixed/painted the regular color (goose-poop gray) and a quality shop couldn't quite even match that color (it was a little more flat than the stock color). That said, I would assume it would be even harder to match the diamond black.

good luck, OP!

I would just look in the for sale forums to try and find a single wheel to match.

^ This.

I've tried to get my bbs wheels paint matched to factory IX SE color, but decided just to go for gloss black since I could never find the code. While you are getting them finished I would have the shop check to make sure all wheels are straight and true as well, if you end up fixing them later on, you will have to repaint them again.

Yea I already posted up a WTB in the forums yesterday

Thanks everyone, after reading your responses I dont think someone would be able to match it. Im going to give it a week or two trying to source a single bbs se rim before painting them all to match a different color. I looked on ebay and one just sold for 138$ shipped would have definitely snagged that

have you ever tried calling BBS and asking them if they'll sell you the paint directly?
