I'm looking to achieve 450-500awhp

I drive a stock clutch Evo 9 MR

My question is which is a better candidate, FP Red or FP Black.

Currently the car is a daily, but it won't be for very much longer.

I'm also open for other stock frame turbo suggestions. the EF turbos are still too new and BBK Full doesn't seem very popular.

Fuel is 93 oct

I think you would be lucky to get those numbers on pump gas with a Red, so I'm going to have to say Black. I would suggest to get off of 93 and get onto E85 and swap out the clutch before the turbo.

if your staying on pump get a fp black for sure i have owned both and my pump tune is basically 475whp and its conservative. the black will not have to work as hard to achieve that goal YES you will have 200rpms more of lag but you will not feel it trust me. With the black if you every decided i dont know i want 550-600 etc it can do it with proper mods. The red will have to work twice as hard to achieve that but yes it can. i would say black hands down so you will not require as much to get your numbers BUT YOU NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR CLUTCH as well exedy twin will do nicely.

You would be lucky to hit those numbers with a Red, you probably should look at the Black and have all supporting mods.

Rockman, yours is a little bit different then his because the 2.4l so for him to hit those numbers on stock motor would be difficult.
