so i bought a evo 5 months ago that was crashed. i had the body work done and the engine pulled by a professional. just did a full engine rebuild top to bottom and its all installed now but when we turn the key it doesn't start like its outta gas or the fuel pump isn't turning on. idk if i have the reset the ecu cause it was in a accident and bags deployed. it does have a Vishnu exed tuning ecu in it as well. any suggestion is greatly appreciated

 

need to start with the basics. fuel, spark, compression

 

Yep, pull the fuel feed line, put it in a cup, crank it, does the cup fill up with gas? Pull the coil packs, put a screwdriver in one of the plug wires, crank it, does the spark arc? You haven't told us anything you've tried.

 

Do you have the real key? You may have to disable the transponder if not. Look to see if it shows anything on the dash when starting.

 

What! Don't you have ESP?

to OP: Did you verify that you have a good key with matching immobilizer code in the ECU?

 

i will be checking everything tomorrow and ill be sure to post what ive done and if i get it started
