Tactrix and ecu flash review and how to

So I was really nervous getting into tuning. But since i got my ralliart i went ahead and tried it.. It was very easy using ecu flash with the Tactrix cable.

VIDEO CLICK------>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJmLhGL4t9Q <<<<------CLICK

1. For ECU FLASH software and cable go to www.tactrix.com and the correct cable to get for your 09 ralliart is the open port 2.0 that costs $169.00 ( you can find it under evo x )

2. After you turn on your laptop ( widows xp-vista-MAC) connect your cable to the ECU port.. Then let window find drivers for open port 2.0.

-------Windows xp/vista x86 x64 ecu flash http://openecu.org/downloads/ecuflash_1422595_win.exe
-------MAC OSX 10.4-10.5 x86 x64 ecu flash http://openecu.org/downloads/ecuflash_138_osx.dmg

3. launch ECU flash, after all drivers are loaded and ECU flash is open.. select 2006+ Mitsubishi CAN, then Go ahead and click read from ECU. **make sure you have your ignition on at this time. ( not cranked )

4. You will notice your ECU going crazy.. It will display warnings, that everything is messed up, your fans may kick in.. No worries, ECU is just being read and reset.

After the scanning bar reaches 100% you can turn the ignition back to OFF position...

Then you will notice vehicle description, fuel maps, turbo boots etc etc..

AT THIS TIME SAVE YOUR ROM AS 09ralliartSTOCK

Then you can send this ROM to scott at TTP ( email flash $399.00 http://ttp-engineering.com/catalog/p...roducts_id=422) and he will tweak it for you, and you should put down on a dyno around 290WHP with your ralliart...

***You may have a check engine light on after the ECU scan!! NO WORRIES ECU FLASH SOFTWARE can delete them for you.. There is an option under ECU in the software itself. So no more going to auto-zone or advanced auto parts to get your ecu checked!!

I did this the first time and everything worked like a charm... Hope this helps some of you..

***after you get the tweaked ROM back from TTP, i suggest you do test write to ecu first, then write to ecu..

not saying that anything is impossible, but saying 290 whp on your stock RA with just a flash seems to be a tad bit over exaggerating

i have loaded the ttp map already, boy this flimsy ralliart became a beast.. it pulls so much harder even at higher RPMs. I have my stock ROM saved i will load it back once on a dyno then do TTP rom to see the numbers over stock

Can't wait to see the numbers? Any ideas, did TTP indicate what your flash should be running at for HP/ TQ?

looking forward to see your comparison. So the tunes by TTP are done pretty custom? I'm really interested but my car is stock right now. If i later add mods is there any break in price for a 'reflash' email tune?

We have used tons of data from in house custom dynotuning to develop strong, powerful and safe mapping for many different modification levels.
