hey guys,
so heres my problem i just bought a WW VIII a few weeks ago, and am loving it of course (other than the twin disk) and the other day i felt a little froggy and gave it some gas rolling at maybe 15 mph in first then into second...then all the sudden i hear my Power steering pump (i believe) groaning for about another 20 seconds...now every time i turn the car right, past a certain point it grinds kinda then hums till i turn the wheel back straight. it only happens turning right....??? im wondering if i need a new pump maybe i just spun it too fast...putting down 450 awhp at the moment. i may just try bleeding the pump. it looks like it needs new fluid anyway. thanks

 

Its not going to moan bc you have too much power. You might have some air in the line which would cause it to moan, or your fluid is low, or you are in for a new pump soon. Lol. But thats the name of the game.

 

make sure the rack isnt leaking. mine went out at 40k

 

well it didnt have any noises before this, the fluid is good...but i looked at it the other day and its yellow....i say wha? pretty sure almost all power steering fluids are red lol maybe im just crazy. im going to flush it friday maybe, i get free fluids so im not really worried about misdiagnosing. i was considering a P/S delete but ive been there and thats no fun especially at an autox or somethin. thanks guys

 

are there warning signs for that? it steers just fine but its just noisy turning right. im gonna check for leaks but its hard to see being slammed
