The FQ Evos were made with UK Mitsubishi with a tuning company, I don't remember the name. They were all UKDM, but there may be a few floating around Europe.

If i am not mistaken...EVO VIII MR FQ400 is developed in conjunction with Owen Development
And FQ is not Japan Factory delivered,they are package fitted to the car after it have arrive in UK
Most of the part are HKS + ECUtek remap

Viii MR, in any color besides grey is rare, I don't have any stats, but I've never seen one. Only seen two grey VIII MRs

 

I don't think they're that rare. There's a silver one in my town

 

In australia there are a few VIII MR in GG. I would know I own one and ive seen one in grey and another in silver. The rarest 8-9 would have to be a manual wagon, I couldnt find one .

 

everytime a newbie puts a thread like this up, i again will say what i always say.... the ONLY rare evo here in the states was the 8 MR they were limited at the time of production and if you got one then you were lucky. the 9MR was mass produced so i wouldnt even think of those being rare.

 

As has been said, there was only somewhere around 345 IX RS's made (depending on color they would get more rare). There was close to 5000 evo 9 MR's built....apparently making them the lease rare...which seems odd i know (but i believe the numbers i remember are correct).

 

What about the IX GSR SE. I've seen tons of MR SE's, but hardly any GSR SE's.

 

In North America I believe it is the Evo 9 RS, as they only made 348 of them. Half of them being white and the other half being red. There is a thread if you do a search that breaks down the production numbers for each year and model (GSR, MR, RS, SE packages etc.)

THe RR Evo IX RS's are def rare and I think I rmemeber reading somewhere that there weren't many more then like 700 Tarmac Black Evo IX MR "SE" also known as appearance package.

 

Good find, with the amount that have been wrecked, beaten and off the road now I think I'm safe to say there are less than 300 currently lol.

Personally, I think 2005 Electric Blue VIII's are pretty rare as I have rarely seen any for sale or even owned on the forums.

 

Just got my evo 8 Mr in white. 1 out of 1000

 

If you look pre CT9A... The Evolution RSX was a low production car also.
